What to send

  • SerumRed-cap or gel tube1 ml

    The clear part of clotted blood. Let it clot, then separate it.

How to collect and send it

  1. Separate the serumSpin or let the clot settle, then pour off the serum.
  2. Keep chilledKeep it cool, 2 to 8 °C, in a cool box with an ice pack.
  3. Send the same daySend it to the laboratory on the day it is collected.
Preparation. Separate the serum soon after clotting, keep it chilled and send it the same day. For ketosis screening, sample in the first weeks after calving.
