What to send

    The clear part of clotted blood. Let it clot, then separate it.

In the laboratory's words: Serum (plain red or gel tube), 1 ml

How to collect and send it

  1. Separate the serumSpin or let the clot settle, then pour off the serum.
  2. Keep chilledKeep it cool, 2 to 8 °C, in a cool box with an ice pack.
  3. Send the same daySend it to the laboratory on the day it is collected.
Preparation. Separate the serum soon after clotting, keep it chilled and send it the same day.
